John deere 1010 ru 1964 radiator removal has power steering

Need to remove radiator has power steering unit thru top of rad. Not sure about where to start with p/s unit removal help please thanks.

In the same boat, need to remove the steering shaft (armstrong steering) in order to remove radiator. Did you have any luck? If no replies, I'll start the job using good old yankee ingenuity. I hope I don't break to much.

Isn't there a splined coupling on the shaft? Should be able to remove that, .... or not?

A pic of your dilemma would help point out a next step, I'd think.

Here is jdparts.com schematic.. shows two splined couplings.. with cap screw in each.
