2015 Massey GC1710
I know this is a Massey thread, but I have a 2310 and looking for a decent but not too expensive tiller. I found a Jinma tiller on Ebay. The price of them are a THIRD to HALF of the cost of a new massey or equivelant brand. I bleiev they are a chinese build unit. I wonder if they would stand up very well ?? Anyone have an experiencewith them? The model is a IGN-105

Thanks

Thanks, I searched there as well, just posted here because I own a Massey and is a good group with some good advice... anyway, reviews don't look very good for the chinese goods, get what you pay for I guess....

A 48" KK is selling-out at TSC for $999 if you can still find one. How much cheaper is the chinese brand?

Madhatter, I would steer clear of the Jinma tiller unless you needed something to slice mushrooms.... They look very flimsy and the tines on the units I looked appear to be very thin... Go with a KingKutter, you won't be sorry... Do a search on Tillers on this board... You will see Lots of folks that will swear by them not at them... The paint won't be the best, but your using it in the dirt, right?? I don't have a show tiller , tractor maybe ;) (kidding) ... you get the point... Good Luck in your decision

You can always paint it to match...

Thanks guys, I think I am going to stay clear from the Jinma type tillers. The savings won't be worth it if the gearbox shatters after 10 feet ! I would love to buy a KK 48" , but we do not have TSC in Canada and I can't find who is a dealer is KK up here..... will keep looking.

You could try the (betst companies) they sell though E_bay a 59 in. tiller for $825.00USD or you can make a bid. I just purchased a 56 in. flail mower from them. and they do ship to canada. at least you can purchase a tiller thats h.p. thats better suited to your tractors pto. I can't wait till morning to get this flail mower a try. I made a lowewr bid for mine and got it for $100.00 less than the buy it now part of the deal.

I just came from the local TSC looking for the KK 48" tiller (not the subcut {red} xb type, but the "standard" {yellow} model). TSC didn't have any, and said that TSC will not be getting any more KK stuff since they are no longer a KK dealer, they switched to FarmForce made by Tarter Gate for their implements.

So-If you want the KK- my advice is move fast and you might find one before they're gone!

I only wish I had gone looking sooner....
