Yeah, it is. I have the same concern, but as long as the engine is turning, the pump is pumping and I should have steering. After cranking the engine for a few seconds, I have enough hydraulic pressure to turn the wheels. I think I'll be okay.

I was hoping you had it running. My problem with the injector pump was fairly easy to correct once I did it. I thought our problems sounded so similar that you might have a bad injector pump... keep us informed.

Hello all. I have an update for you. My little tractor is running! It turns out that the injection pump WAS the culprit. It took a few tries to get the pump working properly, but it finally is running on both cylinders.

Greg, you're right! It will run on 1 cylinder! I had a couple friends over and we decided to go for it and take the pump apart. We found the pump was gummed-up. The parts were stuck or sticking, so we cleaned it and reassembled it. The first attempt resulted in the engine starting on the #2 cylinder. After several minutes, realizing the other cylinder wasn't going to pick up, I shut her down.

We disassembled the pump again and finally, after cleaning and lubricating the working parts, I primed it and started it up... on both cylinders! I strapped on the FM and mowed the lawn.

I know.. I know.. It's been several months since my last post. What have I been up to? Well, I've been a faithful reader of this forum. I log in and read on a weekly basis. I just didn't feel I earned the right to comment.

Well deserving or not, I love to read your questions and comments. Keep 'em coming boys and I'll try to contribute something from time to time. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am impressed with your tenacity and to all the fellow members here that contributed to helping you. I read through all of the posts from start to finish, and I am so glad that your got your tractor to running.

I don't know if your tractor chassis, has the same creeper gear reservoir settup as mine, but please take time to make sure that you have oil in your Creeper Gear Reservoir.

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
