JD3520 Cab FEL Joystick Lock Not Working

The three way toggle push-in/pull-out lock switch below the joystick doesn't do anything on my tractor.

It says it is supposed to lock the joystick, but in all three positions I can still move the loader. Ideas?

You have to remove side panel and tire to adjust the cables at both ends because your joystick is off center. You may have enough adjustment if you just remove your tire

My 4520 is the same way. I found if I "wiggle" the joy stick, the lock will slide in further and engage. There is some free play in the linkage/cable and the lock doesn’t line up perfectly. I'm sure you can adjust it, but I will let my dealer do it when I take it in for the first service.

I am researching a similar problem on my 4066R (I can't unlock the curl function regardless of the position of the locking lever) and I came across this old thread. Were you able to resolve this, and if so, how?
