JD Parking Brake Light Coming On

Anyone experienced the JD 4410 Parking Brake Light coming on and staying on? When starting to drive, after releasing the lever-release, the light will stay on and I have to continually tap the pedal to release it. It will continue to come on and I have to tap the brake to release. Any ideas how to resolve?

Remove the cowl where you insert the ignition key, you will need to adjust the park brake switch here. It is a plunger type switch that when it is dirty, corroded or out of adjustment will not fully operate. Also i had some issue of the park brake linkage not fully releasing in or near the same location. If i recall it is a toothed rounded bar that when the park brake lever is pulled the teeth on the rounded bar engage the lever. It will require some lube on the hinge point of this "toothed rounded bar". It will all make sense wken the panel is removed. I had the same issue with both the 4310's i have owned.

On my 4310, if it does that I reset the brakes and release them again. It must have the sticking plunger as talked about before. Usually if the light is on it seems on mine the rt brake linkage is sticking.
