JD LX5 vs Bushhog SQ600

I bought a JD 790 w\ SQ600 yesterday to be delivered today. The salesman called me today and said that they did not have a sq600 w\ slip clutch available. He could give me the LX5 w\ slip clutch at the same price or he can order the bushhog but he has no idea of an eta. He says it could be 6 weeks or more.

Does anyone w\ experience with either of these shredders have advice on whether I should take the LX5 or wait for the bushhog?

I have a LX5 and have been very happy with it. I use it cutting much bigger and worse stuff than its rated for and it has been flawless. I use it on my own stuff and in my business. I wouldn't hesitate owning another.

I also have the LX5 on my 790 and I've been very happy with it so far.

Thanks for the feedback. I went ahead and took the LX5. 6 more weeks of brush overgrowth and I may not be able to find my house. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I researched all I could and found the LX5 to be very capable. However, it is great to hear from current users that are pleased with it.

I have the SQ600 behind my Century 3647 (47hp Cummins)
I've been through stuff well beyond the rated cutting size, no problems. I would suggest though, that you compare the HP ratings for the gear box. I may be mistaken, but I think the SQ is rated for more power.
