Guys, I have an E120 JD lawn mover that I'm trying to come up with something that would be a good theft deterrent. As it is, anyone could pull up into my drive, walk behind my house & just drive off or push it into a trailer & drive off. What have others done to try to reduce the risk of theft? Any good tricks you can share besides disconnecting battery or plug wires that's not too complicated?

If you have a seat switch, you could unplug it, though a smart thief might discover that.
Welcome to TBN. Unfortunately a person that really wants to walk off with your rider-will. Pulling the fuse will keep one from starting and driving it down the seat. Once. A tough cable lock will work until that is defeated. I suppose that you could bang it up, thrash it and make it look like an abandoned, broken rider. . .

Best you can do is to slow them down. Consider a steering wheel lock or a wheel lock:

Seems a small shed would easily pay for itself over insurance premiums quite quickly. AND pay dividends keeping the mower nice.

Way over priced insurance or a real cheap shed for that to be true. He may well find it is already covered with a good homeowner policy but at most doubt the price will be anything as you are implying.
