I was just playing around with the ballast calculator on the JD web site

and it seems to confirm my initial thoughts that the 200CX loader frame must add at least some weight to the rear of the tractor (2520 in my case).

The calculator shows "-2" on the rear weight with the loader attached, however, I'm thinking that they are probably assuming at least the minimum standard bucket (is that a 48" or 53"?) is installed. Therefore, my belief is that if I remove the bucket (61" in my case) the overall effect of having just the loader frame on the machine is to have at least a little more weight on the rear end. Maybe not much, but at least a couple of pounds, and, assuming my goal is to get more weight on the back end it should at least break even.

Anyone have opinions on this theory?
