jd baler miss tying

My john deere 24ws wire tie baler is miss tying more than one should i know they miss ties every once in a while but it's missing more than it should is there anything i can do to fix this?

Baler miss could be related to your other question about the loose bales. If the hay isn't being held in place it can make a baler miss. I would start with as was put out in the post clean out the baler and check your dogs and resistor plates. Then check your knife and even your feeder fork, is it pulling the charge of hay in too far or not far enough.

What kind of hay.

You might need some additional hay resistors in addition to your hay holder plates. Stuck hay dogs also.
