JD 955 price?

I found a 955 about 4 hours away. The tires may need to be replaced sometime soon and the right taillight cover is missing or broken. There also may be some rust holes in bucket, but hard to tell from picture. Other than that it appears to be in good shape from the pictures. They are asking $9900 and it has 450 hours and 300cx FEL. Is this a fair price? Is a 955 a good tractor? From the reviews and research I have done it seems pretty good. Use will be mowing about 2.5-3 acres, clearing shrub, small stumps, dragging driveway, plowing snow, moving mulch etc.

I had a 755 and loved it, one of my buddies told me that that line of tractors was more trouble free than any other JD at the time. He was a JD mechanic.

The price is high, but that really depends on your local market and the condition.

I have had 4 or these 955s, and I love them.

If you have ag tires, there is only one brand for the rears, and they are getting scarce.

The owner seems to have put the later JDloader on that unit; it normally comes with a 70A
FEL.

Fiberglass hoods and the front grille are annoying problem areas, but fixable.
