JD 950, Bent Tie Rod

I have a 950 with 4wd and I bent the tie rod pretty bad on a big rock. Before I remove it and straighten it out I'd like to make sure that there is not supposed to be any curve in it. I'm thinking it should be straight but I'm not positive, can any one tell me for sure?
