JD 855 or 4100

Ran into a JD855 with 436 hours at a dealer. Spotted it on Sunday and called Monday so I haven't heard it running but it looks cherry. 4x4, 70 bucket. 1996 model.Never has had a mower attached. Salesman says they just pulled the tractor off the trailer and parked it on the sales lot.
The dealer also has a 4100 4x4, bucket, with 163 hours. Says its a 1999. It also looks cherry.
Which one would be a better deal? Both are priced at $12,900. What should I offer if they look good when I test them?

The 855 is a lot more tractor but that also depend on what you are planning to do with it. I almost bought an 855 with the larger bucket and the base transmission for about the same money. I ended up buying new and equiped it just the way I wanted. Check what the price is on a new 4000 series with the same equipment and go from there.
