JD 790 hydraulic extension

My JD 790 tractor [LV0790G296509] has a factory installed SCV for the FEL. I want to use a 3-point log splitter attachment. Where do I connect the hydraulic lines with quick disconnects to the hydraulic system on this tractor?

If it were my tractor I'd plug the log splitter into a "pair of breakaways" for the SCV and bunge cord the lever to activate the log splitter valve. This is if the log splitter control valve is an open center valve.

John deere sella a "power Beyond Kit". Easy to install. It will give you quick disconnects to the rear of your tractor. Your log splitter will still have to have an open center valve to heep fluid moving.

Does the "regen" circuit need to be operative or locked out?

You normally only see regen on loader valves. It is normally used in the loader curl circuit fast dump mode

What regen are you talking about?

Above is a link that I posted to a while back. I woud recommend installing the power betond kit in the 790. That's what I did on mine. It was a pretty easy thing to install, and works well with the log splitter that I have.

And it is the SCV regen I'm talking about.
