JD 7800 park

Have a friend with a 7800 JD. The trans case broke around where the park engagement shaft goes into the trans. Dealer said it was because it was put in park while rolling. It has happened again. Is this a comon proplem? Is something else going on? Hard to believe Deere wouls build a tractor that that would happen. Anyone with history on this?

Well, the operator's manual does state to stop the tractor completely before shifting into Park.
Might be an operator error...twice, apparently. That doesn't mean your friend necessarily. If he has others operating the equipment, they may not be heeding the manual's instructions.
