Unless it has a dual stage clutch, the PTO is disengaged when the clutch is depressed.
Since this is a two wheel drive machine, it probably does not have a dual stage clutch.
My first tractor, a Deere 670, had a single stage clutch. It's pretty easy to adapt your mowing to this. You may have to back up to hit small areas you missed when clutching, but that isn't too much to deal with.
