Parked it ... won't start , cranks fine, fuses are good, changed fuel filter, bleed up to injector pump, shutoff solenoid working.... could injectir just die after running fine? What am i missing?

I'd grab the manual and go through the bleeding steps again. (Don't ask.) Make sure glow plugs are getting power and working. Be sure you have a good air path through the filter.

white/black smoke while cranking? Outside temp?

Did you pull an injector and see if you have fuel spray, mist, dribble?

Best,

That little shiny thing, as big as your thumb on the fuel injection pump is a solenoid.
On my JD, when the battery is not fully charged, the engine can crank, but, the solenoid is not pulled in.

So, even though the tractor is cranking,, jumper cable up the tractor with a STONG, fully charged battery.

I agree, could be a weak battery, it might just be turning over a little to slow.
