JD 650 Crankshaft

All, just curious, it seems that many customers out there can basically repair their JD 650 unless it involves the crankshaft. JD quit selling them and many out there cannot find one. I know there is an aftermarket JD 750 crankshaft now available, does anyone know if they plan on making a JD 650 crankshaft. Seems like someone could make some big $ doing so.

What is wrong with the original crankshaft? Is it broken or just undersized/worn? Crankshafts can be built up and reground if you need them to be. We just auctioned off a company just north of here that did cranks and cams. Guess there weren't enough people doing it, or the owner wasn't as honest as the day is long... (I knew him, and I choose the later)

My crankshaft is fine, just a general question. I bought a ROPS from an individual from St. Louis who spent 2 years looking for a replacment for his broken crankshaft. None could be found.
