JD 650 battery not charging

Just like the title say. find my self jumping it and charging the battery alot

Once you jump the tractor off and let it run for a while will it start on its own?
If so you probably have a bad battery, If not have your alternator tested.

Check battery voltage with a volt/ohm meter while running to see if alternator/regulator is working properly. Is fan belt snug?

If the alternator is not charging, chances are good that the regulator is bad. disconnect the wires at the alternator and check for AC voltage coming out of alternator while running. Should see around 30 AC volts at wide open throttle. If that is correct, then replace the regulator. Those dynamo style alternators rarely go bad other than bearing failures.
