JD 6220 Left Hand Reverser Issue

Greetings,

I have a low hour 6220 with a left had reverser. The last time I used it, it would jump to neutral on the reverser and the tach would quit. Also, I got three flashing warning light on the dash. This happened after about 1 hour of use. I can shut the tractor off for 5 -15 min. and it will work for a while. I looked at the solenoids on the transmission, and the one on the opposite side from the FNR solenoids (#27 on the diagrams I have seen on this forum) appears to have hydraulic fluid in the connector. Can anyone tell me what this solenoid does and can it cause this problem?

I cannot, but would suggest getting the service tech manual as it should be a big help with your diagnosing the problem.

Plus likely good help coming from TBN family. I see you have the same thread started elsewhere on TBN.

Has it set any codes? That is where I would start, have the codes read. Engine speed sensor may have failed. Causing computer to think engine is not running. Can you post drawing with solenoid #27?
