Jd 6110 swapped computer, inst pnl dark won't move.

Put in a new computer , starts fine but instrument panel doesn't work now and will not move, any ideas on what problem might be?

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

My guess is that the computer chip needs to be 'initiated' by the/a JD dealership. Basically, a computer 'doesn't know' that it is a computer whenever it is turned (back) on. It reads a programme of instructions that tells it what it is and what it can do. Once programmed, a battery provides a 'keep alive' voltage to secure to programme and data after you shut down the 'machine' so that it's available the next time you start it up.
