jd 544c loader hydraulic issues

My jd 544c loader was working fine one minute and then it lost all hydraulics. Just had steering cylinders remanufactured. Checked fluids and changed filters. Driveshaft from engine to transmission is not spinning as quickly as the engine. When I put it in gear it feels like it wants to move but something is slipping. Intermittently, the steering is strong, the loader and drive work, but only slowly. Its a tired machine but it was all working fine for two hours then just stopped. I know of two pumps on the loader. I thought the one on the tranny ran drive and steering and the one behind the engine (under radiator) was the one that ran the loader. Makes no sense why both go out and the engine still runs fine.

My knowledge of JD ind equip is limited although I understand closed center hyd's. The 544C has closed center hyd system. It has to have a charge pump supply oil to the main frt pump under radiator. Slower drive shaft speed vs engine speed sounds as if damper plate(parts key 10) is failing which in turn would slow charge pumps output.
