For you John Deere guys I had a customer that had been shopping me and a JD dealership for a larger 2wd tractor. Anyway, he ended up purchasing a JD5303 for $12,000.00. I guess my question is, is this possible?!?! Can a John Deere dealer really sell a 5303 for that low? The guy ended up buying all his implements from me so I really have no reason not to trust him...but I just find it hard to believe he paid 12K for a 64hp tractor. And he did say it was brand new, no hours on the clock, had to take the plastic wrap off the seat! Guess I just really want to know for my own piece of mind, thanks guys.

That is a SMOKIN' deal. I have seen prices around $14K, but not $12K. Maybe they needed to dumip it, or it is stolen!

Seems that maybe the factory had some incentive for the dealer if he moved a ceratin number of units.

man that kinda s@#%s.i just took delivery of a jd 5203 and paid 15,000 for the bare tractor,16,000 with accessories.i thought that i got a decent deal well off 2,000 off of msrp.
any way i didn't want the 5303 due to the turbo.not that there is any thing wrong with the turbo model i just kinda believe in less is more as in the more that you have for the engine to spin or turn the more problems that you will have.

I'm sure he got that deal for $12k. While it's a very good deal it's about 20% off of list. I got mine last year with a 540 loader for a little over $15k. If you take the loader off my price would have been right at $12k.
