Update:
Tonight was a bit warmer (+9F) and I was able with repeated tries to start and successfully operate the tractor for an hour or so. The battery was dead and needed a good charge so it will sit on the charger overnight. Obviously, there is no proving or disproving any of our theories at this point. Warmer weather is yet ahead so I will report back on what I have found.
The only therapy waas to add some Power Service additive with Cetane boost to the fuel tank at the appropriate concentration.
