JD 4700 PTO problem

I went to hookup my shredder to my JD4700 and when I wanted to engage the the PTO, the engage light came on but the PTO would not spin. Someone has told me there might be a fuse that controls this but I would assume since the Engage light came on that it would not be a fuse. Does anyone have any thoughts, will they freeze up? Have not used the PTO in over a year?

There have been a few PTO discussions going in recent weeks, that a serch may lead you to some help.
Do you have tech manual? Mine doesn't cover the 4700.

I do not have a manual and my book does not cover it either. Thanks for the heads up about other post on this subject, I will do a search.

Thanks, I will check the fuses to see if any are blown.
