JD 4310 PTO problem solved

First, thanks to the folks on this site I have solved a lot of otherwise expensive problems with your advice. Not sure why the site says I have 0 posts, oh well.

Recently I was responsible for repairing a deceased family members JD 4310 for sale by the estate. The PTO light would come on but the PTO wouldn't turn when the switch was pulled. Here's a short video on how the repair went for others who run into the same problem. Short version, I replaced the PTO and MFWD solenoids and freed the valves on the diverter. Thanks again!

It appears we have almost the same tractor lineup. LT180, 4310, 5420 here.

Plus, I love fishing for speckled trout and redfish. Port O'connor for me.

Great video! I hope it never comes in handy for me.

I did a solenoid coil for the 4wd on my backhoe a while back. Mine was more obvious since the coil was charred. New Holland no longer sold the coil separate and wanted over 500 for the solenoid. I sourced the coil from the company that made the original less the connector for $20.
