JD 4300 electrical problem?

I am stumped, I can start the tractor fine but as soon as I put it in gear is stalls even though I have not let out the clutch. The seat switch was disconnected years ago and I have no problem with that. Please if you have any idea where to look let me know

Park brake set? No idea if it has safety switch or not but mowers do.

When you say "stall" is the motor being choked down as in stuck in two gears, or is the fuel solenoid being released to kill the engine?

most safety switches keep you from cranking, the only one I'm aware of that would kill the motor is the seat switch if you get up with PTO engaged.

My 4300 will move with the Park brake set.. sometimes I wish it wouldn't..
