JD 4210 Transmission issue .... don't know where to start

I was given a John Deere 4210 that was in horrible shape. I spent about $400 dollars to get the tractor to crank. The hydraulic fluids had drained from the machine when the pump neck got broken. I replaced the pump neck and screen. New filter as well and new engine oil, battery, and replaced several caps that had been stripped from the machine. The tractor now cranks great and seems to be salvageable. Problem now is that the tractor won't move at all. The hydrostatic transmission is not functional. The PTO works but the lift does not. I have re-check the fluid levels and they are fine. I have pulled the cover off the forward/reverse solenoids and I get low voltage from one wire on each, no voltage from the rest. I just feel like it is something electrical that is preventing the transmission and lift from working. Any ideas where I should start looking? I'm not a farmer or a mechanic but I have some mechanical skills and probably track this issue down with a little help. Where should I start ? Thanks .....

You seem to have the eHydro. You will need to get the service manual and check error codes as well as
step-by-step diagnostics.

Just went through same issue on my 110TLB. hopefully yours is electrical as that is what i thought about mine but turns out the tranny was bad.

You will have codes if it is electrical and start to lead you in the right direction. Electrical system is broken down into poteniotmeters and speed sensors. If all those check out then you have porportional solenoid valves and system pressure test. Then charge pressure test.

Remember on the solenoid valves it is not volts going to that mean so much but the amps behind it. I was not successful testing the solenoid valves as you really need the JDG1575 break out tool from JD. If you are getting around 7volts i would bet they are good regardless of the amps. Unless there was a power surge from somewhere that blew them out.

If the PTO works i would say your tranny is more then likely good.

on your 3 point arms does it feel locked? On the 110tlb i have it was having the same problems and i had to muscle it back n fourth about 30 times as air was in the cylinder from not being used.

No, the lift is definitely not locked up .... I can pull it up and let it fall by hand ..... I'll try that 30 x's lifting method and see if it starts moving. I don't think the transmission is bad as I can feel it when it slips into gear and the tractor is rolling. I can definitely tell when the speed selector is in A,B,or C range. Also, the cylinder on the left side of the tractor is moving. The tractor will just not engage...... I'll keep working on it though..... It's hard as heck to even get a good diagram of the wiring or the load panel online. I may have to buy a tech manual to track it down.
