JD 4200

I have a John Deere 4200 that I loaned to buddy, when he returned it was covered in mud. The tractor ran fine until I washed it. After washing it when I turn the key I can hear the starter clicking but the engine dosnt turn over at all. I tested the battery and its good. Anyone have any advice.

How much water did you get around the starter and or the ignition key? You may have water logged them and they need to be dried out.

Is that clicking the fuel solenoidd or the starter.

Suggest pullin, greasing and reinstalling all the relays.

Check wire ends/connections for proper contact. Note there is a singe small gauge wire to the starter.

Check the safety switches

And last: throw a tarp over it and put a small electric under it.
