I'm in negotiations for a brand new 4200 with hydostatic tranny, # 47 backhoe and a 420 loader. We're at around $24,000.00 right now but I have a feeling he could go lower. Any advice? I'm new at this type of equipment purchase. Thanks.

I had priced a 4200 but went with a 4310 instead,heres the
numbers my dealer gave me.4200 hst 15,100
420fel $ 2600 and 47 backhoe $5500--total $22,700 minus the
JD rebate of $2000 nets you $20,700. The power beyond kit
for the hoe will add some to that price------good luck

Base price on my 4200 a couple of months ago was around $12500, 4WD, gear, dual scv. turfs.

You should get a good deal on a 4200 since it is a "discontinued" model, especially gear drive.
