Hello...I have been looking at Ford 8Ns, etc...and alternatively at new(er) JD 3320, etc. Only had garden tractors and looking for an entry point
Today I see what appears to be a very nice JD 420 not far from where I live. Looks like a vintage close to 8N or maybe the Ford 600/800 series?
What should I know about JD 420s??
Are they close in size to 8N vintage?...weight/width/length?
My planned uses are brush hog/box blade trail work/small (2 acre) field mowing/land work...trail building etc. Maybe a FEL would be a nice addition (currently does not have one).
Do I see the JD 420 in the correct light as a fairly comparable unit to the 50's Fords??
Please let me know if I am on the right track?
Also, can you get parts and attachments for the 420?
Maybe a link to a site if there is one?
