I've only Kubotas.
I'm looking at a 4130 4wd that has Ag's in the rear and turfs on the front.
Is that ok for the transmission?

If the ratio is the same it would be, however, looking at sizes of each tire, it would be nearly impossible to truly match up two different types of tires and keep the ratio correct. I don't understand why anyone would mismatch tires like that.

Something to definitely be concerned about if the ratio's aren't maintained with the circumference of the tires.

Bet he put the turfs in front because the turning ability of R1s and R4s is ****, because when turning the tractor just skids on those bars that become parallel with the turn. I'm thinking about going to turfs in the front on my 1025. It came with R4s. The R3s on my 4010 had MUCH better turning grip.

Think the fronts go a different speed from the rears anyway. This is why you should disengage the 4wd if going very far on pavement. Otherwise, the fronts just slip a little bit due to the mismatch.
