JD 3520 eHydro NO FORWARD or REVERSE

- 2007 JD 3520 eHydro with no response to forward or reverse pedals... no error codes

- Front end loader, power steering, and 3 point hitch all working fine

- JD dealership just completed 4.5 hours of labor attempting to identify problem... without success

- Advised JD corporate tech had last options of splitting tractor to check further items ($$$), but not sure as to problem

- JD recommendation to replace transmission ($8,000)

- Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated

- Will be seeking a service manual in the immediate future

I suggest you give details on what happened. Was it working fine and suddenly stopped or did it slowly steady get worse or did it happen in one range and not the other right after fluids change. How many hours are on the tractor.

Boy, 4.5 hours and no idea the problem. That is sad. no doubt you and they have check all the simple things but: if it happened soon after fluid change have you verified correct filters and oil used, have you check the pedal linkage is connected an d moving freely with no interference for a stick or such. I picked up hyd oil filter for my JD5525 and just happened to take it to a shop for another reason and had them change the fluid while there...wrong filter. Said the filter I had was correct per their parts book but it was not the correct filter for my tractor.

Did you perhaps depress both the forward and the reverse pedals at the same time?

I did this once on my 2005 3520 with eHydro and then neither of the forward or reverse pedals worked. I turned the engine off and then on again and it worked fine after that.

Could you describe what was going on just prior to this issue?

Wow. I don't think I'd trust this dealership to work on it any further.
If they can't figure out if it's an electronic or mechanical issue and are going to replace the transmission "just because" they don't know what they are doing.
