I have a Jd 322 that looks great and runs great but only have one issue and hope its not an expensive fix. Well as I lift the toggle switch to engage the cutter it engages just fine but after after running with cutter for a 30 min or less I disengage the cutter and try starting it back up it has a hesitation and sounds like its struggling to start back up and it will but just gets weaker and weaker after that till it just doesn't engage the cutter anymore. My battery has been recharged and it starts right up everytime. I was thinking maybe it was a weak battery cuz my battery light on the dash is on. But it has been like that since I bought it and it had not been an issue before. Any info would be much appreciated.

This sounds like the air gap in the pto needs to be adjusted. It should be set to .018. There are three nuts on the pto and slots on the sides for a feeler gauge. Adjust all three until the gap in all three slots is correct.

After having the air gap adjusted it runs like a champ. Thanks for the advise.
