Howdy,

I have a jd 300b loader that has had slow loader movements since I've owned it. I have changed filters, stroke control valve, and adjusted stand by pressure to 2300. The book says the boom up cycle time should be about 4 seconds, mine is around 7-8 seconds. Transmission pump pressure stays above 40-50 psi when using loader mid throttle so I don't think this is a charge circuit problem. I know the steering column can cause a lot of hyd problems, but I capped the line off that goes to Column with no difference. I have shimmed the pressure control valve up to 1750 and same thing. I only have about 15gpm at only 1000 psi and it's very chattery. I'm about to pull the front pump, I just wanted some reassurance or other thoughts maybe.

Thanks,
Lance

Does your tractor have a 3 pt? If so with 3 pt raised, engine running look in hyd filler hole for spraying oil. Where are you attaching gauge to only get 1000 psi?

It has 3 pt, but I have resealed the spools and set the valves, I doesn't appear to be leaking. I t-eed into the main pressure line that leaves the pump and goes to accumulator. It will only put out 1000 psi at 15 gpm instead of 1750 at 19-20 gpm. has no problem sitting at stand-by pressure, it just doesn't have the flow

It's possible there are are some faulty inlet/outlet valves in main hyd pump. Have you ever checked trans pump flow? It should be around 5 GPM.
