Loader kind of has a mind of it's own when Hyd get hot also gets difficult to drive. Is this issue related to the internal pump or the pump at the front end? Splitting this tractor is an expensive option.

Can't discern much from the description you gave of the problem.

Care to give a little/lot more about what is happening?

ya that was pretty vague. when the hydraulics get hot mainly durring haying season, the loader will creep up on its own, with no joystick input, it will also go up instead of down or it will chatter while lifting bales etc. seems to be fine durring winter plow operations. JD service rep says split tractor and chage pump. that is a very expensive option. tractor is running on JD oil as well. all this goes hand in hand with it becoming hard to shift when it gets hot.

Have you considered a hyd radiator and automatic fan for some extra cooling? That is what we have on our Power-Tracs.

thanks JJ we'll look at that option, do you think maybe the joystik control valve is in line to be changed? we'll be on the fields soon

Make yourself a QD plug in hyd gage, or install a hyd gage in the IN port of the loader valve. Then use it for monitoring and trouble shooting, etc.

The pump is not making the loader creep , that is a valve leaking, or not at neutral.

You might try switching hoses around for testing.

we'll try that, I was also told by a second mechanic to check the clutch fan to ensure it's working properly
