JD 2720 62D front mount brackets.

I have a 2520 and a 2720 and they seem to have different front brackets that bolt onto the tractor frame to mount the 62D MMM. I'm assuming the brackets are different because one tractor has a FEL and grill guard installed and one tractor does not have a FEL or grill guard. I'm wondering if any of you ran into this issue and possibly have the right combination of 62D brackets to make the mow decks interchange. I ultimately want to put a FEL and grill guard on the 2720 that currently doesn't have a FEL. I'll post a bunch of pictures showing the bracket differences.

Another main issue I have with the 2720 is finding the CORRECT front bracket that has the quick pin on it, because someone welded a piece of angle iron on my bracket if I were to guess. Its a major pain to remove this piece of junk bracket VS the correct factory spring pin release on the 2520.


Here is the 2520 with the FEL and grill guard installed with the curved 62D brackets and grill guard.








Then here is the 2720 with NO FEL and 62D with straight front brackets mounted on the outside of the frame.

The brackets on the 2720 are not the correct ones. The pivot arm on the front draft arm is also not correct.
Are the front draft arms the same length on the 2 decks?
Are the model numbers of the decks the same?

I may have a pair of the correct brackets hanging in my pole barn from a 2720 that I had.

I already replaced the pivot arm, some idiot welded angle iron onto it!

The decks are BOTH 62D2 decks, which is right.

It appears the previous owner pressed these angled brackets flat for some unknown reason. They still work just fine for mounting the 62D!
