JD 2520 with pics

My first brand new to me JD. It's a leftover 2010.Came with a grader blade and finish mower. 27 hours on it now. I'm impressed with the power this tractor has. Any tips on maintaining, operation, problems you guys have had?

Congrats on your "new" 2520 Pit Man.
I agree with v8only about the tech manual for sure.It's an invaluable tool. The CD version is quite a bit cheaper than the book.
With only 27 hours I would assume nothing has been done maintenance wise,so it is probably still in line for the initial 50 hour deal. Couple things. Does your tractor have the newer lower link 3PT arms? If it doesn't you may be able to get a dealer to work with you in getting the correct arms.

There has been quite a few owners complaining about the fuel tank not being centered in the hood opening,thus causing the hood to catch the gas cap if you're not careful.
There are a few different "self fixes" that have worked really well.

Some owners have had problems with the 2520 popping out of 4WD when carrying a heavy FEL load going down an incline.

You can search the forums or maybe even use Google and you will definitely get answers.

Does your tractor have the newer lower link 3PT arms?

Yes it looks like it does.
Do you guys have any suggestions on how to re-route these hydraulic lines? I don't like the way they hang down.

You are missing the wire hoop the holds the hoses up. It mounts to the floorboard.

As kennyd mentioned,there is a bracket (hoop) that holds the hydro lines.
If you'd rather not get the OEM part,you may be able to fabricate something similar.

Congrats Pit Man, It looks sweeeet (but then...I am kind of partial to good looking 2520's). I am also envious of your finish mower. Is that a 72"?

In addition to the previous comments, I would also suggest a ballast box or some type of additional weight in the rear especially if you are doing any work with the FEL. Also in looking at your pics, it may appear the dealer forgot a linchpin when attaching the mower. Maybe it is just an illusion in the picture, but I would hate to see the pin come out for you.
