JD 2520 vs Kubota B7800

Anyone have an opinion. I know the B7800 is a more powerful machine, and at my local dealers about 1k less. Any input why I should go w/ the Deere? Thanks.

Which one you like better? thats all that matters. You are going to get biased feedback from the owners of either units.
Personally my signature shows the choice I made - however I like the orange and if I was making a decision just for orange I would look (or buy) the B3030 over the 7800. Now thats my choice of orange between similar models -

I'm also a JD guy, but this 2520 is a pretty slick machine. I'm not realy sure what you'd need any more power for other than PTO stuff.

The 7800 is larger slightly but performance seems identical. Might depend if you want a backhoe and a MMM mounted at the same time.....

Besides i look good in green.
I drove the botas. well a 3030. once you drive a JD
its pretty hard match the feel and comfort...
buy what is comfortable to you. Kubota is a nice tractor. but , Drive them both. and you will
be back on the green side. its all i had to do was run it a while.

I just bought a 2520 so take my views with a grain of salt but I figured (atleast in my area) John Deere seemed to have the better network of dealers and service. I wanted and went with the John Deere becuase I heard so much about the great service and quick turn around on parts. It seems John Deere has done a pretty good job with it's network of dealers in North America.

I am sure both tractors will be great it will all come down to service and quick turn around on parts. I personally feel with John Deere you can't go wrong.

This is going to create a high energy backlash - but to tell you honestly even though the 7800 has a 30HP motor, it only gives you a 1.5 HP PTO edge. Hydrolic capabilities is the exact same - Oh no did I just say this? yes, its because Deere is incompetant in their marketing info that makes the 2520 seem weaker to its peers. But real world feedback say's otherwise - and 2520 owners are ready to do the Pepsi challenge to debunk the spec myth....
Now this little myth can also include the B2630 & B3030 regarding Hydrolic's as well. PTO advantage is in the B3030 favor for all models, and if you include the backhoe option, I will say the BH75 is the better unit over the Deere 46BH.

Now that little dispute is out of the way - just go pick your favorite color and post some picks

My choice between JD and Kubota had to do with the dealer. The JD dealer in my area wouldn't even answer the phone to talk to me. I called the Kubota dealer (they also sell NH) and he quoted me a price over the phone and took the time to answer questions.
With that said, I love my 7800. It has done everything I have asked it to do. I don't try to get into all these specs. I know it will lift a heaping bucket full of wet sand and will lift some rather large rocks. The only time I ran out of lift is when using the forks and had the weight too far out. I usually run out of bucket space before I run out of lift capacity.
My dad is looking to buy a used JD2210 from a private owner, so I'm curious to see the type of service he'll receive. Maybe the guy was having a bad day when I called.
Which dealer do you like better? If the machines are virtually the same and you haven't fell in love with one or the other when testing them, then look for the little extras such as filters, service, etc.

Decided on the 2520. Went 50/50 on this w/ my neighbor. We both own 10 acres w/ only 1/2 of it needed for mowing. Given the track record of reliability it seemed a bit excessive to each own the same tractor depreciating 90% of the time.
Plan on mowing and moving rocks this weekend!!
I've never owned a tractor, I am Pumped.
