My dealer stopped by today to adjust the parking brake light switch on my 2520. While he was here I asked him to look at how close the hood is to my fuel cover. It was close the first time he looked at it. Then a weird thing happened. When he tried to close the hood it hit the cover so bad that it almost bent the hood. I turned to him and said "see, I told you this was a problem with these machines". He spent some time looking it over and ended up taking that support bracket out and bending it like many of you have done. After bending the bracket the fuel cap was exactly in the center of the hood cuttout. The good news is that since he took time to fix it he will claim the cost with JD as warranty service and it will get written up. Everyone who has a 2520 that's still under warranty with the least bit of gas cap interference should ask their dealer to fix it. Perhaps JD will eventually get the message.

My 2520 is 2 months old with 21 hours and the cap already hits the hood

Hi kevinwak and welcome to TBN!
Are you going to try and fix it yourself,or are you going to get a hold of your dealer?
The fix I did awhile back is still holding things in place,but I still called my dealers' service department to make them aware of the problem.

The manager of the dealer is my cousin, so I will definatly let him know. Only trouble is it is a 2.5 hour drive to the dealer, so when I am done with all this OT at work I will take a look and see what I can find out and try and fix it before it gets really bad
