JD 2520 brush cutter attachment

I am trying to decide which would be best fit for my JD2520 a RC 2048 or a RC 2060. I am leaning toward the RC 2048 any thoughts. You can get them with rubber front and metal rear guards or for extra cost chains front and rear. Which is better. Thanks

For that size tractor, a 4'. I feel a rubber front guard is adequate. I believe the back is blocked as to prevent throwing out of objects.

I ran a lx5 on my 2520. It did fine and was wider than the tractor. If you get in grass that is too thick, just take a smaller bite. JC

I was in the same delima last year and after talking to a couple different dealers, I went with the 5 foot. The 2520 handles it well. No regrets so far. If the grass is too thick slow down or take a smaller cut. I mowed some pretty heavy stuff and it went right through it. Good luck. Ken

5 foot easier to take a smaller bite than wish you could take a bigger one! i used a 5 foot on 2520 and had no issues.
