JD 2305, powerbeyond, rear remotes

I am trying to add a rear remote to my JD 2305, I bougth the JD fittings that go to thier powerbeyond kit and then bought the hose of the right length to go to my control valve, not knowing which port on the tractor was the power or return. I connected the tractor end of the hoses and placed other ends in a bucket... fluid came out both... I must be missing something. Looking at the parts catalog the only part of the powerbeyond kit that I can not identify its function is Part #T142616 it is called a "pipe plug". Do you think this is my problem? if so where does it go?

I think I can help...but need clarification: Do have have the whole PB kit installed, or did you just buy some parts to add your valve?

On my 4110, and I know on the 2520's there is a plug (relay just a Allen head set screw about 10mm in diameter) that goes into the block mounted between the SCV and the transmission-the plug blocks the flow of oil thru the block and directs it to the OUT port.

I only bought the fittings that connect to the tractor from the powerbeyond kit... basicly they are O-ring to JIC adapters.

I have read your thread many times very well done. I think what I need to do is install that plug, I just need to figure out where. the tractors hydralics seem to be set up diffently.

Yes, you will need the plug to direct the flow to the ports. It will go somewhere between the two ports.

it appears that the ports are located on the rockshaft control valve, I order the plug today when it comes in I will see if I can bother the mechanics at the dealership for the location where it goes.
