JD 2210 won't start

Greetings all! Just got my first JD equipment. JD2210 and a JD950. The 2210 will turnover, but it won't start. The battery is good and it isn't slow to turnover. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Start with the easy stuff. Have the fuel and air filters been replaced recently? Does it puff any smoke out the exhaust while cranking?

Thank you for your response! I plan on changing the fuel and air filters this weekend. Black smoke does come out of the exhaust while it's cranking. Thanks again!

Does fuel control solenoid on IP making a "click" when ign switch is turned to on position?
