I let a friend borrow my tractor and the handbrake will not hold the tractor at all. Is there an adjustment that can be made or will the brake have to be replaced? If so can this be done without breaking the rear ended of the tractor apart? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

As you stand behind the tractor you can see a plug ontop off the diffhousing just a little bit to the left off the senterline. You can open it with a 1/2" breakerbar .
Lower your handbrake and adjust that insidescrew till tight and then releese it by 1.5 turns or 3 clicks. Close the plug and test your handbrake.
If that dose not help...you will have to open it to replace that band.

When I first got the tractor - I used the handbrake. I forgot and left it on a couple times. Only move the tractor a couple feet before you notice.

Now - NEVER use the handbrake. Drop the FEL/grapple & rear blade to the ground when I stop.
