JD 165 Mover Deck Question

I've switch between my mower deck and a front plow several times a year. What I can't figure out is where the heck does the deck lift assist spring and bracket attach to? I have the original manual and it is so hard to figure it out based on the tiny pictures. I've been able to use the deck without it, but would rather connect this part correctly.

Any suggestions?
