NFA,
We are the pictures? I ordered my 110TLB last week of Dec. and hope it arrives in mid FEB.
Did you ballast your tires?, my 4310 fronts are foam filed and rear calcium for the hoe I didn't know if the 110 needs ballast with the hoe or loader also?

Another question have you towed the machine? I am curious how a 110 tows with a F350. Sorry about the 50 questions remember a picture is worth a thousand words ..... lets see that 110 in some action shots!

I only have a few pictures of it now covered with snow. Right now it is at my cabin in Pinetop. Will be heading back up next week and should have more then.

As for towing it...have not had a chance with all the snow on the ground. (snow in AZ hard to believe) I had a 97 F350 diesel that towed the 5th wheel with no problems. I now have an 07 6.0 F350 lifted, so am really anxious to hook it up. Should be able to do that next week. That will be in part of my review I am working on.

As for ballast, I don't see a need at this time. Have only used the hoe to play with, and there is plenty of weight on the rear front FEL work.

A company I worked for bought a 110 about 3 years ago, what an incredible machine, built to work and work hard. We ordered ours plumbed on the loader and hoe, and had an aftermarket cab install (which made it look pretty stupid) for snow removal. At the time with all those options, it was around 65k plus tax. As for loading the rear tires, the hoe has more than enough weight to keep the back end down. I have lifted 3000lb concrete blocks with the loader, and the rearend hardly bounced, and we towed it with a GMC 2500. Awesome piece of equipment, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Got a very competitive price quote for a new 110 this past week. In fact, the quotes I've received from dealer's around the country indicate that there's more willingness to shave a few extra percentages off the yellow machine's MSRP than the green machines.

Go figure...

Freight costs are a real big hill to climb up and over to get to Alaska! Whoee! It's coming down to a few hundred buck's difference between having the tractor shipped versus going down and buying a trailer and towing one back up myself.

(That's factoring in something for my time, food, fuel, lodging and trailer cost. The advantage would be that I'd have a new 14K equipment trailer to use or sell when I got back to Alaska. The downside is the assumed risks inherent in driving a long distance with a heavy load and likely poor road conditions...)

Quick question for the sharp tractor minds here on TBN. The slick, glossy brochures that JD puts out for the 110 lists the engine as a 2.0 liter, 122.7 cu. in. (something) whereas I have seen other references to them having a 133.* cu. in. engine or 2.2 liter.

Which is correct? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, NFA.

Looks like about $6,300-6,500 to haul the 110 home from Washington state vs. $6,700-6,800 to have it shipped to Anchorage. Cost another couple hundred to haul it from Anchorage to home (myself).

So, it will likely cost $500 more to have it shipped vs just doing it myself and ending up with a new trailer in the deal.

Probably put it off until the end of March - first of April to head down the hill. Likely order the machine the end of Feb. when Deere announces their new financing package.

Time will tell.....

AK, post up the zip codes of where it will be shipped from and shipped to. I might be able to help...no guarantee though, but will try.
