JD 1070 Hyd Problems

I have bought a 1070 and it appears to have Hyd problems. The loader is slow and jerky when going up and the steering is also erratic. I am going to change the fluid and filters but I haven't found the screen on this tractor, does anyone know where the hydraulic screen is on this tractor?

And if you have experienced "jerky" hydraulics please let me know what cured your problem......
