I am looking at purchasing a used '93-'95 JCB 214 TLB for use around the farm. Anything I should look out for? Units have 4500 to 7000 hours; priced from $12 to 16K.

Ok, no help on the JCB 214. How about an 89 to 92 Case 580K? 4800 to 5700 Hours, Cab, 4x4, extend hoe, fair paint, good tires. $17 to 18.5K. How good a unit is this? What to look for as far a wear with these hours?

The JCB is a better built machine and far nicer to operate but i would question parts availability compared to the case.

I have a 210S and what it can't push or dig doesn't need moved. The things are just chunky. Neighbor has a 214 with FWD and four wheel steer ...huge machine weighing in at nearly 17,000lbs. Mine weighs nearly 13,000.

Starter solenoid appears to be stuck right now and they are horrible to reach.
