Have never used a Jang seeder but I do have the Earthway Precision Planter with all of the plates and there is a plate for cucumbers. The Precision Platers cost $100 new. I use mine to plant beans, carrots, turnips and other seeds but never cucumbers. I am sure it would work well for cucumbers. How many rows are you planting?

I too have an Earthway. They are not precision seeders despite their name, but they are extremely handy for small areas. My experience is that they put out far too many seeds even with some holes blocked off, but hoeing out the excess is a lot easier than sowing by hand. Having said that I hand plant cucurbits because of the need to sow so far apart.
