i've never found out what the engine hp was on them but if i had to guess i would say it was about 30.

In my manuals they say 27hp. I also have a yanmar YM3000 that they say is 33. The 950 runs a larger engine that seams to have more guts to it. The deer runs a 3T90J yanmar engine and the yanmar runs a 3T84. Think the deer is rated in hp to the drawbar, not engine hp. If I had to guess, I'd bet the deer has in the 36+ range. The 750 is 21hp, the 850 is 24hp, and the 950 is 27hp. Not sure if the 1050 is 30hp but probably is. Those are all engine hp.
