Got my new (used with 290 hrs) Massey 1652 in the mail last week. Put on about 25 hrs so far... So I'm putting the 1648 up for sale if anyone's interested.
Why I bought it?
-LOVE my 1648. As I acquire more equipment and machinery for my business, this "large frame CUT" will remain my "main-use" machine for now. The 1652 uses a 3.0L diesel (largest engine in the CUT class, from any mfg) compared to a 2.2L in my 1648. There's about 30% more available torque in the 1652... So i figured since I'm keeping this sized tractor for a long time, might as well step up to the larger engine. Found a great deal finally on a 1652, so I went for it.
Haven't used the PTO yet so not sure how much I'll notice the additional power there... But it does seem to pull my boxblade a bit better. It also has more hydraulic flow: 12.3 GPM vs 11.6 for the loader/implement hydraulics, and 5.2 vs 4.9 for the steering pump.
It also has loaded rear tires, wow what a difference! I'm able to stay in 2wd more than before, even with the wheel weights.
Updates as I get them.
